Glowing Light - Part 1

It was a rainy day outside. The droplets of water raced down the window of the house's living room, making a pitter patter as they touched the windowsill. Pictures lined the walls of the room, although they weren't looked at. And a mother was sitting on a comfy little chair, telling her child, Mina, about a world of light and wonder, a world of prosperity. Clutching her stuffed bunny tightly, Mina listened in joy to her mother's reading.

All of a sudden, she collapsed onto the ground, unconscious. The child panicked, grabbing their mother and quickly calling 911. The clock ticked by. The ten minutes passing by felt like ten years. She looked at the photos on the wall. She saw her, her mother, and... her father. He had died three years ago in a car accident, and the sight of his mangled body was one she had forced out of her mind. Now, here the memories were all rushing back, breaking open the dam she had built so she would never have to feel that feeling, that feeling of tragedy again. She was broke out of her sorrow by the blaring loud sound of the ambulance that she had always hated, even before the accident. She answered a knock on the door, and a group of nurses and doctors came in. They gently greeted her, and began examining her mother. As time went on, the doctors and nurses seemed more and more frantic, until eventually, they approached Mina, and said to her-

We're sorry. We couldn't save her.

Immediately, Mina started crying. The nurses tried consoling her, but before they could say another word, she slammed the door to her little home open and ran outside in the pouring rain. She hugged her bunny for warmth against the pouring cold rain, continuing to run, and run, and run, even as her knees felt weak, and her legs began to give up on her. Eventually, she found the lake that her family always used to go to, to admire the pretty and wondrous wildlife that dotted the lush forest where it resided. This time though, it seemed empty and hollow, devoid of any creatures. The plants seemed like they were crying for help, like something had drained all their life away and was turning them into empty husk. But Mina wasn't focusing on the dreary background. Her eyes were locked straight on the lake, which seemed to glow with warmth and happiness, feelings that she hadn't truly felt since the accident that changed her life. She closed her eyes, held her breath, and jumped straight into the lake.

The glow was strong. So, so strong, that she could see the overwhelming white light fill her vision even though she closed her eyes. After the glow cleared, Mina noticed she was falling. The sensory overload from the light masked the feeling, but now it was in full swing. She opened her eyes. She couldn't see anything. She couldn't hear anything. She couldn't touched anything. She tried to scream, but she couldn't hear a thing. Eventually, she felt something again. It was soft, but still felt a bit rough. She opened her eyes. And when she did, she saw the black, beady eyes of her stuffed bunny staring straight back at her. The bunny opened it's mouth staring straight at Mina and said:

Come with me. Me and my friends have something very important that we need to show you.
