Mysterious Encounter

As Aaron exhaustively made his way out of Orikaeshi Tower he realized hi parents would get mad at him for going this late at night to explore. "Well." he thought. "If they'll get mad at me anyways I might as well take the time to look around the park".  The last time he had ventured through the park was when he was 5 when his now-deceased grandfather took his hand and looked at all the different types of flowers, listing them by name. He still remembered every single plant that his grandfather listed, the tsubaki, the asagao, the sumire, the sakura, he could go on and on and on with the different types.  He got so distracted though, that he didn't look where he was going and got soaked by a spray of water from the fountain in the middle of the park. The fountain was  about as basic as a fountain could be with the exception of the 4 koi of various sizes planted on top, with their mouths spewing water. He never really liked the fountain because it looked like

A great escape

He felt the presence of the group of souls creeping up towards him. He didn't know why or how he could feel it, he just felt it. As his realization crept in that there was no hope left, his despair was complete. In seconds, hands grabbed onto his legs and arms and began dragging him into the abyss. He ran and ran until his legs felt like they'd been cut into pieces, and screamed and screamed and screamed until his shrieks rose louder than the whole clump of faces. As his train of thought returned he began pondering how to escape. As he thought about what could drive the ghosts away, he realized it was bright light would drive the ghosts away. Running as fast as his burnt out legs could take him, he grasped his bag as tight as possible and began digging through it as fast as possible. The burnt out oil lantern, a sandwich, and his phone. He hadn't used it because its battery was at 7% and he wanted to conserve it however, it was his only hope. Resisting the grip the ghastly

Run, don't hide

From the mist arose faces young, and old, hands tattered and bloody, with blood curdling screams erupting from every face in sight. He recognized a few of the faces in the pit of dark mist. He saw his uncle, who had died in a motorcycle accident, the faces of some of the missing children he had seen on the milk cartons his mom buys, and many others. However there was one face that confused him. In the fray he saw the face of Ally's mother. This took him by surprise because Ally had always told him whenever he asked her about her mom that she was just on a really long business trip. "Why would she lie about that" Aaron thought. However Aaron decided he did not have time to think about it  and needed to get out. As he fumbled through his bag in pitch black he found a familiar object that could help him escape. An oil lantern wedged at the very bottom of his bag. His grandfather had given it to him as a gift for his 9th birthday. It had a picture of a pale lady in a black dr

Ghouls

As Aaron walked through Shizukesa Park he felt a weird presence behind him. It had a chilly feel which was somewhat like a cold breeze with an uneasy feel. Thinking to himself he thought  "Why the freak did I come to a park in the middle of the night what was I freaking thinking! Callie has taken me to literally every horror movie. When he decided to look behind him and saw nothing he ran and ran and ran. Clouded with panic he didn't notice where he was running until it was too late. After he ran into the door of the dreaded Orikaeshi Tower a pale white hand slammed the door shut.  When he tried to open the door he couldn't, no matter how hard he pulled as if something ramming in to the door holding it shut. There were many folktales of daring children who visited the tower that never came back that had always scared him. Filled with fear he scaled the stairs and when he was done climbing the stairs to the first floor he heard cackling from the gravestones and screams fr
